Year 3 News
Year 3 have had a wonderfully festive week to round off the term! In PE, the children wrapped up their basketball and gymnastics topics, showing incredible effort and progress. In Maths, they have been busy learning and practicing their 3 times table. A highlight of the week was the whole school trip on Tuesday to New Brighton to watch the Peter Pan pantomime—it was full of laughs, and the children had a fantastic time! In DT, the children have been hard at work designing and creating their stunning Egyptian collars using techniques like cross stitch, running stitch, and appliqué. Their focus and effort paid off, and the final products were truly spectacular. We wish everyone a wonderful Christmas break and look forward to seeing you in the new year!
Year 4 News
The children have had a fantastic time this week, filled with festive fun. They thoroughly enjoyed watching Peter Pan at the pantomime, tucking into their Christmas dinner, creating beautiful Christmas cards, watching films, and embracing the holiday spirit.
On Wednesday, we had a DT sewing day where the children showcased their creativity and skills by hand-stitching their own book sleeves. They even added buttons or toggles to fasten their designs—what a fantastic achievement!
Wishing you all a joyful Christmas break and a very happy New Year. Thank you so much for the thoughtful gifts we’ve received—we truly appreciate your kindness. Have a wonderful holiday!
Best wishes,
The Year 4 Team
