We are proud to be working towards achieving the Eco-Schools Award—an exciting journey that’s inspiring our children to take action and care for their environment. This year, our pupils have been involved in a range of meaningful eco-projects that connect us with our local community and promote sustainability across our school.
We visited the wildlife garden at our local church, learning about how nature is supported in different spaces. Back at school, we set up a hedgehog ‘trap’ (a camera-friendly one!) and were thrilled to capture wildlife footage of foxes and pigeons—although our elusive hedgehogs are still hiding!
Our dedicated Eco Team has been hard at work helping to keep our school grounds looking their best through regular litter-picking and by developing a brand-new wildlife area in our community garden.
And this is just the beginning! With plenty more projects on the horizon, the children will soon be writing to local companies to explore ways they can support the growth of our community garden, wildlife zones, and play spaces. We’re incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, teamwork, and drive to make a difference—for our school and the planet.
