Urgent update

Dear parents and carers,
Following the government's announcement this evening, the school will be closed to most pupils from tomorrow, Tuesday 5th January, until after the February half-term break. Pupils will be required to access remote learning using Google classrooms, and this will be provided from Thursday 7th January onwards. For Parents of Vulnerable Children and Key Worker Children If it is possible for you to do so, I would request that children of key workers are kept at home tomorrow (Tuesday 5th January). This will allow us the time required to update risk assessments, identify the children of key workers, and ensure all the necessary organisational and logistical arrangements have been addressed. We will then reopen the school for pupils of key worker children on Wednesday 6th January. If, however, you are a key worker who desperately requires a place for your child tomorrow, we will accommodate this request. If this is the case, please email the school office by 8am with the name of your child and their class. You will also be required to provide evidence of your key worker status. There will be further correspondence from school tomorrow to explain how to request key worker places from Wednesday onwards. Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support.
Very best wishes
Conal Holmes
