October 2022

21.10.22 - Last Week of Term.

What a busy last week of term. We had the incredible Year 3 Harvest Festival. The children did a tremendous job singing and celebrating harvest! Thank you to all who donated food.

We also raised a smashing £94.76 from our Macmillan Coffee morning - We really appreciate all who donated cakes and joined us for a brew.

The cross- country team and the football team have both had a smashing week. We had children competing in the top 25 finishers in cross-country out of over 150 children and the football team won all their games - Their final match brought a victory of 7-0. Go Brackenwood Juniors!

And finally what a way to end the term but with a thrilling Halloween Party. The BFG did an amazing job in organising and the children had the most fantastic time! We had scary Halloween costumes, dancing, hotdogs and prizes. It was so much fun!

What a brilliant half term!
Maths Workshops
14.10.22
This week each year group held a maths workshop for parents. It was wonderful to see so many parents attend and understand the systems and procedures used in school to teach maths. Workshops such as these help to develop home-school relationships so that pupils can be supported at school and at home.

Thank you to all of the parents who attended their parents meeting with the class teachers. It is very important to establish a strong home-school relationships and thank you very much for the positive comments about the school.

Hello Yellow
6.10.22
To support Young Minds, pupils and staff wore yellow clothes to school. The charity supports people with their mental health and today pupils learned about the importance of a positive mindset and talking to others when they have worries.
