09.01.23 - Into the swing of 2023
The children kicked started the week with a joyous singing assembly and in our picture news assmebly found out whats going in the the world this week. 18-year-old Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix was recently named as a BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year finalist.
The year 5 Sports Ambassadors have received special training to help all our pupils participate in fun games at lunchtime. They should be really proud of the collaboration and teamwork captured in the photos below.
After school clubs are also up and running. The children have enjoyed a week of varied clubs some including: drama, soccercise, circuits and computing.
Year 6 have been working hard in DT lessons to create moving carousels from a fairground.
What a superb start to this term!

Happy New Year to all! Welcome back to all of our children and families. We are incredibly excited to kick start our new year. The children are excited to learn and we have had the most fantastic lunchtime with lots of exciting new equipment to play with.

27.01.23 - Sports, sports and more sports.
This week has been a jam packed week full of Sports competitions for the teams at Brackenwood Junior School. The year 5/6 dodgeball team came in a second place...What an achievement - Well done guys!
Year 3/4 football team also represented the school and had a great time competing. And the futsol team developed their skills in the game and showed great team spirit! Let's keep up that energy going into next week children!
